Some Short Tips To Prevent Sweating

by Marian Pullen on 2010/03/10

Sweating is often a natural mechanism of our body to regulate our internal temperatures whenever the external temperatures change.

If it becomes to cold outside, your body will naturally want to warm you up by producing heat. In the opposite situation, your body sweats to cool you off when the environment is too cold.

Although sweating may be normal, excessive sweating isn't at all. However, plenty of people are affected with this. There are a few things that you can try so that you can prevent sweating.

The very first thing that you can try to do is to use an antiperspirant. The way an antiperspirant works is by inhibiting your sweat glands from producing sweat with the use of different chemicals.

There are so many kinds of antiperspirants available in the market but more often than not, they all contain the chemical aluminum chloride.

Another tip to losing weight is to lose a few pounds if you are rather soft in the middle.

Fats are used to produce heat. This is basically how you explain why a thin person rarely sweats in the other hand a fat person sweats a lot times even when it isn't that hot to begin with.

Aside from that, you can try limiting your intake of alcohol whenever you are out painting the town red.

What alcohol does is to elevate your body temperature (notice how some people go red right after drinking some beer). In order for your body to bring your temperature back down, it makes you sweat.

But finally, you can try giving up on coffee or at least limiting your consumption. With caffeine and sugar, coffee is a kind of stimulant.

What a stimulant usually does is to make your heart pump faster and increase your body temperature. Because of this, you sweat.
